A Raspberry Pi with a Pi Camera is mounted on a west-facing mast on the 1500' platform.

The hardware consists of a Raspberry Pi 3 and a version 1 Pi Camera. The Pi and camera are mounted in a PVC electrical junction box with a hole drilled in the lid for the camera. The system is powered via Power Over Ethernet, and internally regulates the 24v POE to 5v for the Pi.

The software is a simple bash script that takes a picture every 10 seconds using Raspistill. The images are then rsync'd to the VPS.
